Keiners Bottoms is a freshwater reef site characterised by a rocky shoreline, large underwater boulders, and a gravel bed. Divers and snorkellers can explore depths ranging from 3 to 15 metres, with an average depth of 9 metres. The site is suitable for intermediate divers and offers both shore and boat access. Conditions include mild currents and visibility between 2 and 6 metres. Water temperatures are cold, reaching 35°F in early April before warming throughout the spring. Hazards at this location include boat traffic, cold water, entanglement risks, and low visibility. Facilities available include parking, toilets, air fills, equipment rental, a dive shop, boat charters, and guided tours.
