Meyers Beach Sea Caves on the North Shore of Lake Superior offer a unique freshwater snorkeling experience within a series of shallow caves. Located 1600 metres from the shore, the site is accessible by both boat and shore entry. Conditions vary, with moderate currents and potential for low visibility. Due to the overhead environment of the caves and the cold water temperatures, which range from 1C to 18C, this site is suited for intermediate snorkelers. Hypothermia is a significant risk in these waters, and snorkelers should remain aware of boat traffic in the area. Parking and toilets are available at the site.

Devils Island Caves on the North Shore of Lake Superior feature intricate arches and deep chambers carved into red sandstone. This site offers a unique freshwater environment consisting of caves, walls, and reefs. Access is by boat only, as the site is located over 35 kilometres from the shore. Divers and snorkellers should be prepared for challenging conditions, including cold water, strong currents, surge, and potential overhead environments. Visibility varies significantly from 3 to 24 metres, and depths are shallow, averaging 4 metres. Due to the technical nature of the caves and variable conditions, this site is suitable for advanced divers.
