Best for advanced divers, 6-40m, boat entry, strong current.
Baja Huaman is a technically demanding site located 1000 metres off the coast of Pucusana. The topography features a reef and wall structure that drops from 6 to 40 metres, fringed by a kelp forest in the shallower sections. Divers encounter strong currents and visibility ranging from 5 to 15 metres. Marine life includes very common South American Sea Lions, common Sally Lightfoot Crabs, and occasional sightings of wrasses, sea stars, rock crabs, snails, and sea squirts. Due to the cold water temperatures of 14 to 18 degrees Celsius, strong currents, and sharp coral, this site is strictly for advanced divers. A 7mm wetsuit or drysuit is required.

Boat access is required, so arrange your operator in advance and confirm current conditions on the day before committing to the deeper sections of the wall. Pack at least a 7mm wetsuit or drysuit and surface marker buoy, as the current can carry you clear of your entry point.
