Lake Motosu is a high-altitude freshwater site located at 900 metres elevation at the foot of Mt. Fuji. Divers and snorkellers experience depths ranging from 1 to 30 metres with mild currents. The site features both natural reef structures and artificial reefs. Water temperatures remain cold year-round, typically around 16-17°C in October, making dry suits necessary even during summer months. Entry is via the shore. The environment supports various temperate freshwater fish and invertebrates. Hazards include cold water, significant depth, potential entanglement, and low visibility. The site is suitable for beginners and offers night diving opportunities, with typical dives lasting 30 minutes.

Motosuko Lake is a freshwater drop-off site on the Izu Peninsula, offering depths between 5 and 30 metres with an average of 15 metres. The site features a straightforward shore entry and mild currents. Visibility is variable, ranging from 5 to 25 metres. As the only Fuji Five Lake that does not freeze, it remains accessible year-round, though water temperatures remain low, requiring appropriate thermal protection. Divers can expect to encounter typical temperate freshwater fish and invertebrates within the habitat. On-site facilities include parking, toilets, showers, air fills, and equipment rental, supporting a comfortable experience for intermediate divers.
