Best for advanced divers, 10-78m, shore entry, mild current.
St Georges Montvalent is a challenging freshwater cave and drift dive located in the Gramat Area of France. The site features significant depth variations, ranging from 10 to 78 metres with an average depth of 30 metres. Divers enter from the shore to navigate an overhead environment where visibility fluctuates between 5 and 15 metres. Due to the combination of deep water, cold temperatures, and potential entanglement risks, this site is strictly reserved for experienced divers holding advanced and cave certifications. Divers should maintain constant awareness of their surroundings and carry redundant lighting equipment while navigating the cave system and the mild drift.

The active passage is located 30m from the entrance of the seventh sump, which previous explorers often missed by following a muddy fossil conduit.
From Rocamadour, take the D140 north, pass through Montvalent, and descend the hill for 1km. Turn left at the St Georges sign, follow the road to a T-junction, turn left again, and park on the right. A path marked by large rocks leads to a 30m diameter pool.
