Lake Coatepeque is a volcanic caldera lake in western El Salvador, near Santa Ana. Fin's database currently holds one site here, Underwater forest, which combines natural reef and artificial reef structures at intermediate level. Dives are boat-access only, with depths between ten and thirty metres and a thermocline between twelve and fifteen metres. Visibility is low, ranging from one to six metres, and a mild current is present. Water temperature is consistently warm across the year, making thermal comfort straightforward.
