The Klondike River at the upstream confluence near Dawson City offers a freshwater snorkeling experience over a rocky riverbed. Unlike the silty Yukon, this river features relatively clear water, particularly within its side-channels. Snorkelers can observe salmon migration patterns during late summer. The site is suitable for intermediate snorkelers and requires a shore entry. Conditions include a moderate current and cold water temperatures, which range from near 0°C before ice breakup to between 9°C and 15°C in mid-summer. The habitat supports various freshwater fish and invertebrates typical of the region. Facilities at the site include toilets, equipment rental, and guided tours.

Sternwheeler Graveyard, located on the west bank of the Yukon River near Dawson City, features the remains of several historic paddlewheelers. The site consists of massive wooden hulls resting in shallow water, with depths ranging from the surface to 5 metres and an average of 2 metres. Access is via the shore. Conditions are challenging, characterised by strong currents, low visibility between 1 and 3 metres, and icy, dangerously cold water temperatures. Due to the river environment, the site presents hazards including entanglement, overhead environments, and rip currents. This site is suitable only for advanced snorkellers, with a low rating for recreational activity.
