Pangnirtung Waterfront is a shore-entry site situated along the ancient beach terrain of the town. The topography consists of rocky intertidal zones and kelp forests that are best explored during high tide when submerged. Depths range from 0 to 15 metres, with an average of 10 metres. Visibility is highly variable, ranging from 5 to 50 metres. Due to the extremely cold water temperatures, which fluctuate between -2°C and 5°C, this site is suitable only for advanced snorkelers equipped with specialized thermal protection. Hazards include cold water, entanglement in kelp, low visibility, sea urchins, and surf.

Pangnirtung Boat Harbour serves as the primary departure point for marine excursions in the region. This site features a combination of reef and artificial reef structures within the fiord. Diving here is strictly for advanced divers due to strong currents and extreme water temperatures ranging from -2C to 5C. Access is exclusively by boat. The harbour is a working facility, and divers must remain vigilant regarding boat traffic. On-site facilities include parking, toilets, showers, changing rooms, a rinse station, air fills, equipment rental, and boat charters. Snorkelling is possible with a rating of 3/5, though the environment is primarily suited for cold-water gear testing.

Mount Overlord Landing is situated at the southern gateway to Auyuittuq National Park, where the fiord meets the Weasel River delta. This site is defined by dramatic underwater drop-offs created by the convergence of fresh and salt water. Due to the location 30 kilometres from shore, access requires a boat. The site is suitable for advanced snorkellers only, as conditions include cold water, strong currents, and potential boat traffic. Snorkellers should be prepared for moderate currents throughout the area.

Qikiqtan is a historical whaling station situated in a sheltered natural harbour. This marine site is located 50 kilometres from the shore and requires boat access for both diving and snorkelling activities. The environment is characterised by extremely cold water, with temperatures ranging from -2C to 5C throughout the year. Divers and snorkellers should be prepared for moderate currents and potential surf. Due to the challenging conditions and the nature of the site, it is recommended for advanced participants. The site offers a unique historical perspective on Arctic maritime activity within a remote, deep-water setting.
