Arvia'juaq is a marine reef site located 8 kilometres offshore from Arviat, Canada. This National Historic Site features a unique glacial esker formation that creates natural channels within the reef topography. Diving here is restricted to advanced divers due to the challenging environment, which includes strong currents and extreme water temperatures ranging from -2C to 7C. Access is exclusively by boat. Visibility at the site is variable, fluctuating between 5 and 50 metres depending on conditions. The site is also suitable for snorkelling, offering a 4/5 rating for those prepared for the cold water conditions.

Kuugaarjuk Migratory Bird Sanctuary is a unique mixing zone where the freshwater of the McConnell River meets the salt water of Hudson Bay. This site is suitable for advanced snorkelers who are prepared for challenging conditions. Water temperatures are cold, ranging from -2C in winter to 8C in August. Access is available via both shore and boat. Due to the nature of the environment, snorkelers should be aware of potential hazards including cold water, strong currents, and boat traffic. The area is known for its nutrient-rich waters where the river and bay converge.
