Iqaluit and Frobisher Bay offer diving and snorkelling in Arctic Ocean waters on Baffin Island, where temperatures remain below zero or barely above it throughout the year. Sites include a seasonal floe edge, kelp forests, rocky drop-offs, shallow river-mouth snorkelling, and sheltered coves with reef structure. Access is by shore at several sites and by boat at others. Four operators are based in Iqaluit. The environment is demanding and dry suits, hoods, and gloves are required, but sites exist for beginners through advanced divers.
