Patricia Lake features a deliberately sunk wooden barge that serves as an artificial reef. This freshwater wreck spans a depth range of 5 to 43 metres, with an average depth of 30 metres. The site is accessible via a straightforward shore entry, with parking and a dive shop located nearby. Divers should be prepared for significant thermoclines and cold water, with surface temperatures peaking at 14 to 16°C in August and dropping to 3 to 4°C at depth. Drysuits are strongly recommended. Visibility typically ranges from 5 to 10 metres and can vary during the dive. Boat traffic on the lake should be monitored at the surface.

A cairn was placed in 1988 by the Alberta Underwater Archaeology Society to mark the historical relevance of the site.
The lake is located just north of the town of Jasper. Divers must adhere to Parks Canada's AIS prevention rules, including the 48-hour dry time protocol.
