Conditions are variable, with visibility ranging from 10 to 70 metres and moderate currents present. The site is suitable for beginners and supports night diving. Hazards include boat traffic, sharp coral, strong currents, and surf. Facilities available in the area include air fills, boat charters, guided tours, and dive shops.

Rainbow Reef is a boat-access reef located 1500 metres from shore within John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park. The site features a reef structure ranging from 10 to 30 metres in depth, with an average depth of 20 metres. Divers can expect visibility between 15 and 25 metres and moderate currents. Due to these conditions and the presence of sharp coral, rocks, and sea urchins, the site is best suited for intermediate divers. Surface conditions require caution due to active boat traffic; divers should deploy a surface marker buoy before ascending. Water temperatures remain between 23C and 28C throughout the year.

Fire Coral Cave is a shallow reef and cave system located 5000 metres offshore. Divers navigate depths between 5 and 9 metres, with an average depth of 8 metres. The site features an overhead environment that requires precise buoyancy control to avoid contact with sharp coral structures. Visibility typically ranges from 12 to 30 metres, though moderate currents are common. Access is exclusively by boat, and guided tours are recommended for those unfamiliar with the cave layout. Due to the presence of fire coral within the tight passages, protective gear such as a full wetsuit or dive skin is advised for all divers.

Snapper Ledge Reef is a shallow reef located 19 kilometres offshore in Key Largo. The site features a ledge structure with depths ranging from 7 to 10 metres, averaging 9 metres. Divers experience mild currents and visibility between 9 and 15 metres. The reef supports stands of staghorn and elkhorn coral, with snapper schooling along the ledge. Night diving is a popular activity here, offering opportunities to observe nocturnal behaviour. Access is strictly by boat. The site is suitable for beginner divers, with typical dive times around 50 minutes. Species recorded around this area include nurse sharks, green morays, French angelfish, queen angelfish, and various parrotfish and wrasses.

Cannon Beach is a shallow snorkel site located within John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park. Situated 100 metres from the shore, the site features replica Spanish cannons and an anchor placed on the seabed to serve as an artificial reef. The area is suitable for beginners, with depths ranging from 2 to 6 metres and an average depth of 3 metres. Snorkellers should be aware of mild currents and potential boat traffic in the vicinity. Facilities at the park include parking, toilets, showers, changing rooms, a rinse station, equipment rental, a cafe, and a dive shop.

Jules' Undersea Lodge is an artificial reef site located within John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park. Serving as an underwater hotel, the site is frequently used for confined and open water training. The topography features a shallow platform at approximately 2 metres, with a maximum depth of 9 metres and an average depth of 6 metres. Divers access the site from the shore, utilising three downlines and three designated exit points. Conditions include visibility ranging from 3 to 10 metres and water temperatures between 24 and 30 degrees Celsius. The site is suitable for beginners, with typical dives lasting around 45 minutes. Hazards include low visibility and the overhead environment of the structure.

Molasses Reef is a prominent reef system located 9656 metres offshore from Key Largo. This site features a mix of natural reef and artificial structures, offering depths ranging from 5 to 27 metres with an average of 15 metres. Divers typically encounter mild currents and visibility between 12 and 18 metres. Marine life commonly observed includes Great Barracuda, wrasses, Stoplight Parrotfish, Queen Parrotfish, Blue Tang, and Scrawled Filefish. Less frequent sightings include Green Moray, Nurse Shark, Rock Beauty, French Angelfish, and Queen Angelfish. Access is by boat only, and the site supports night diving. Please note that recent high water temperatures have caused widespread coral bleaching and mortality in the area.
