Lake Titicaca is a high-altitude freshwater lake in the Andes, sitting at roughly three thousand eight hundred metres above sea level. There is one site in Fin's database, accessed by boat, with dives conducted between seven and thirty metres. Water is cold throughout the year, ranging from ten to fourteen degrees Celsius, with a thermocline around twenty metres where temperature drops further. Visibility can reach fifteen metres during the dry season from May to October. The extreme altitude significantly alters decompression requirements, and the site is rated for intermediate divers who have completed altitude-diving procedures. Recreational tourism diving here is limited, and the site is better known for archaeological research than general dive tourism.
