Floe Edge in Canada is a dynamic site where land-fast ice meets the open ocean. This advanced-level site requires boat access and is located 1000 metres from shore. Divers and snorkellers experience depths ranging from 10 to 150 metres, with an average depth of 15 metres. Conditions are challenging, featuring very cold water temperatures between -4°C and -1°C, moderate currents, and visibility fluctuating between 1 and 15 metres. Due to the overhead environment and extreme cold, this site is strictly for experienced individuals. Guided tours are available to navigate the unique interface between the ice and the sea.

North Pangnirtung Fiord serves as the northern gateway to Auyuittuq National Park, defined by deep, cold waters and steep underwater granite drop-offs. This site is accessible only by boat, situated 34 kilometres from shore. Conditions are challenging, with depths reaching 165 metres and visibility ranging from 5 to 50 metres. Water temperatures remain between -1°C and 2.9°C from April to September, necessitating drysuits and thermal protection to mitigate the risk of hypothermia. Due to the extreme environment, deep water, and potential for strong currents, this site is suitable only for advanced divers. Snorkelling is possible, though the extreme cold requires appropriate thermal gear.
