Sofia Lakes offers two shore-entry freshwater sites used primarily for beginner and introductory diving. Both sites feature artificial reef structures in shallow, calm water, which makes them practical for buoyancy practice and gear familiarisation. Visibility can drop as low as five metres and conditions are variable, so divers should plan accordingly. The fauna recorded here is limited to carp and snail.
