On-site facilities include a dive shop, parking, toilets, showers, and changing rooms to assist with preparation and post-dive rinsing.

The Saddle is a freshwater site located at the southern end of the reservoir, featuring an artificial reef structure. The underwater topography is defined by sandstone ridges and coves. Divers and snorkellers access the water from the shore. Conditions are variable, with visibility reaching up to 3 metres and depths extending to 61 metres. Water temperatures are cold year-round due to the high altitude, ranging from 35°F in cooler months to the mid 70s°F in summer. The site is suitable for beginners, though users should be aware of hazards including boat traffic, entanglement risks, and the potential for hypothermia during extended periods in the water.

The Saddle is a freshwater dive site located within the Denver Metro Reservoirs. Divers access the water via a shore entry at the designated no-boating zone. The topography consists of a gentle rocky slope, making it a suitable location for beginners to practice navigation. Depths range from 0 to 8 metres, with an average of 24 metres. Conditions include mild currents and visibility between 2 and 9 metres. Cold water diving is typical, with temperatures ranging from 8 to 17°C. Thermoclines are common in summer at depths of 5 to 8 metres and 11 to 12 metres. Facilities available include parking, toilets, showers, air fills, and guided tours.
