The rare sunrise tentacle aeolid has also been observed here. This site is suited for advanced divers due to the depth and current conditions.

6 Mile Reef is a deep marine reef system located 9656 metres from the shore of Sodwana Reefs. The site features a complex topography of smaller reef systems, including the deep-water area known as Gotham and the reef section called Snappers College. Divers can expect depths ranging from 18 to 47 metres, with an average depth of 25 metres. This site is suited for advanced divers due to the significant depth and the presence of moderate currents. Access is strictly by boat. The water temperature remains warm throughout the year, ranging between 22 and 27 degrees Celsius. Hazards at this location include sharks and strong currents.

Hot Spot is a reef located 3500 metres offshore from Sodwana Bay. This site requires a boat entry and is suited for intermediate divers due to strong currents and surge. Depths range from 14 to 30 metres, with an average of 30 metres. Visibility typically fluctuates between 10 and 30 metres. Divers may encounter common species such as the Bluespotted Fantail Ray. Uncommon sightings include the Emperor Angelfish, Indian Lionfish, Clown Triggerfish, Lunartail Grouper, Laced Moray, Potato Bass, Titan Triggerfish, and Chromodoris Nudibranch. Rare species recorded here include the Spotted Eagle Ray, Grey Nurse Shark, Weedy Scorpionfish, Giant Frogfish, and Turkey Moray. Night diving is available at this location.
