Deep Run Park on the eastern side of Canandaigua Lake offers a shore-entry dive featuring a gradual slope. Divers can explore rock formations and a water intake pipeline that serves as a focal point for the site. Depths range from 2 to 24 metres, making it accessible for beginners, though the site is deep. Conditions vary, with visibility typically between 4 and 12 metres and mild currents. Facilities at the park include parking, toilets, showers, changing rooms, a rinse station, and a cafe. A dive shop, boat charter, and guided tours are also available to support local diving activities.

Hamlin Beach offers shore-accessible snorkelling in Lake Ontario. The site features a sandy bottom that transitions into rocky patches, particularly around the rock groins located in Area 3. Water temperatures fluctuate significantly throughout the year, ranging from 4C in the winter months to 23C in August. The site is suitable for beginners and provides basic facilities including parking, toilets, showers, and changing rooms. Snorkellers should be prepared for variable conditions typical of a large freshwater lake environment.
