Aqviqtuuq Marine Boundary is a reef site located north of Taloyoak within a proposed Inuit Protected and Conserved Area. The site is characterised by rocky outcrops and deeper water, which are accessible only by boat. Snorkellers can observe the underwater topography, including rocky formations that host soft corals and anemones during the short summer season. Due to the nature of the environment and the required boat access, this site is suited for advanced snorkellers. Conditions at this location are variable, and visitors should be prepared for the remote Arctic setting.

Floe Edge is a seasonal boat-access site in Canada where the sea ice meets the open water of Spence Bay. This location marks the boundary where the ice shelf ends, creating a unique environment for observing the transition between ice and open sea. Snorkellers can expect to encounter a variety of Arctic marine life and invertebrates typical of this cold-water habitat. Conditions are extremely cold, requiring the use of dry suits. Visibility varies between 15 and 30 metres, and the site is subject to strong currents. Due to the challenging environment, this site is suitable for advanced snorkellers, with typical sessions lasting around 40 minutes.

Netsilik Lake, located near Taloyoak, offers a freshwater snorkeling experience accessible via local trails. The site is suited for intermediate snorkelers who are prepared for very cold Arctic water temperatures, which necessitate significant thermal protection. Snorkelers typically spend around 30 minutes in the water. Entry is from the shore, and the site features mild currents. As a high-latitude freshwater environment, the site is defined by its cold water conditions. Please note that water temperatures remain significantly lower than ambient summer air temperatures in the region.
